Emergency Room. What does that mean to you? As an ER physician for several years, it has had many meanings for me. Triumph. Defeat. Terror. Joy. You name it, everything comes through the ER door sooner or later (generally about 2 am, I've found

).
I've decided to add events I've seen in the ER over the years to my blog. Names and any identifying details have been changed, so no, you don't recognize yourself.
I've had a lot of roles in my life: I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, a pet owner, and a physician.
Sometimes the order of these roles changes, but they're always there. The theme that runs through all of them is both teacher and student. The purpose of my blog is to pass on life lessons I've learned. You might consider it my online recipe box. Just like in a recipe box there will be things you need to learn and things you've already learned. Things you need to know, and things you don't. Things that interest you, and things that are boring.
Pull up a rocking chair here on my sunny porch and we'll visit awhile.
